The excitement of the 2005 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas will be aired on ESPN in July, and millions of viewers will be tuning in to watch some of the greatest poker players in the world test their skills in the biggest tournament poker event in the world. Fans everywhere are anticipating the action and wondering what it would be like to take a shot at a big-time poker tournament. Now poker fans have an opportunity to test their skills. An Internet poker community, Case Ace Poker Forum is offering a poker tournament on Sunday, July 31, 2005 that will include a prize of a seat to a World Series of Poker Circuit event in Tunica in August (valued at $550) in addition to other tournament prizes.
The owners of the World Series of Poker, Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., have introduced an additional series of WSOP Circuit events to take place throughout each year. Last year, events were available in Lake Tahoe, New Orleans, Atlantic City, San Diego, and Las Vegas. In the upcoming year, Harrah's is introducing events in sevaral additional cities, including Tunica, Mississippi.
The satellite tournament event sponsored by Case Ace Poker Forums will have an entry fee of $10, which makes it accessible for players of all skill levels. The winner of the satellite tournament receives an additional prize of a paid entry for the $550 Tunica WSOP Circuit event on Sunday, August 14, 2005, provided that player opened their account at Full Tilt Poker through Case Ace Forums. The $550 tournament in Tunica is likely to have a prize pool of over $500,000, with a first place prize over $100,000. The winner of the Case Ace Poker satellite tournament has the opportunity to parlay a $10 entry into a significant payday.
Several players from the online poker community attended the WSOP Circuit event in New Orleans in May 2005, and the organizers at the forum are ready for more action in Tunica in August. Case Ace Poker Forum has already given away over $2,000 worth of additional prizes in its first few months of operation, and it appears that the forum will continue to offer new tournaments and additional prizes in the foreseeable future.
